Greetings Fellow Tipplers,
This Saturday VINTAGES is providing “30 reasons to love VINTAGES”. This list will give you a condensed version
268169 Casal Di Serra Verdicchia Dei Castelli Di Jesi Classico Superiore 2011 (Italy) $17.95
We think they should make the name a bit longer ;). Minerally with apple, pear and citrus on the palate. It is mouth-filling.
356758 Louis Michel & Fils Chablis 2012 (Burgundy, Fr) $25.95
A very well-made Chablis. Pretty, yet elegant with distinct apple, mineral and floral notes
650325 Kim Crawford Pansy! Rosé 2013 (New Zealand) $17.95
Rosé offers a great segue from winter to spring. Kim Crawford rarely disappoints. This wine is fairly full-bodied and definitely fun and fruity. Is that why they call it “Pansy”?!?
357921 Las Moras Black Label Cab Franc/Cab Sauv. (Argentina) $15.95
SMOOTH for the $. Large dark berries with a distinct herbal finish.
66738 The Black Chook Shiraz/Viognier 2012 (McLaren Vale, S. Australia) $17.95
A Rhône blend from Downunder. This is a good wine because it is approachable, full-bodied and balanced. Look for the “bling” on the bottle – it has won many awards!
366971 Giordano Chianti Reserva 2010 (Tuscany, Italy) $17.95
This Chianti is not demanding food. It presents great value. A SOLID Italian table wine.
366104 Casarena Sinergy Reserva Red 2011 (Mendoza, Argentina) $18.95
This is a decent New World offering distinct notes of baked fruit and white pepper. (Score: 90 Neal Martin fr. erobertparker.com)
294298 Conumdrum Red 2011 (California – Caymus Vineyards) $24.95
A rather large and dark-spirited red blend from one of California’s iconic wine producers. There are loads of dark fruit, chocolate with a smoky finish. Look for a slight sweet tinge …
369405 Assolati Montecucco Sangiovese 2008 (Tuscany) $26.95
This is NOT your average Italian house wine. It is a delicious Sangiovese featuring cedar, sweet spice in a deep, ruby package.
