The 2006 edition of Cheap Eats Toronto has hit the presses and will be lining book shelves around the city some time next week.... The book, also available online, will cost you just under 12 loonies before tax... or approx 2.5 breakfasts. If you're too cheap for even that, check out the Eat & Drink section or search "Cheap Eats" on blogTO.

But first some cool news. The new Cheapeats Toronto book is all printed and ready to go out! Check out http://www.cheapeatstoronto.com for more information-- and make sure to get your copy when it's in stores next week! You won't regret it. In fact, even if you don't live in TO, you should get a copy, anyways, just cuz it's the cool thing to do. Oh and you should really get a Cheapeats Ottawa, too. So wander on over to your local bookstore and make them sell you one of each. Now. Stop reading and go. Now. :)

TypePadWoo Hoo!   The just got featured as part of :

Join us in a tour of five  blogs that capture the energy, creativity, and humor of  customers in Toronto.

Let's start this tour with a great meal. The Cheap Eats Toronto blog offers a veritable treasure trove of reasonably priced restaurants, extending the reach of the book by the same name (published by Plethora Press).  Keep reading...

Thanks to & for the heads-up, and thanks Typepad for noticing.

Uncorking.

The $20 GameI'm really excited Karen & Rose agreed to add the to the CETOblog.  (I told you everything would be explained this week. ) Karen is a long-time contributor and I've been following her wine emails for a couple of years now.   (Though I've never been able to get her to play the three-for-$20 game with me. ) She always makes great recommendations without ever sacrificing quality.

Karen's Intro to the Vintages Value List gives you a bit of background on how she's getting her sneak peeks into the upcoming releases, and their wine background.  You can check out Karen's CheapEats bio here.

With more Ontario restaurants offering (BYOB), the will improve not only your enjoyment of your meals at home, but also let you build your own wine list for your favourite CheapEats (and some of your favourite not-even-close-to-being-CheapEats too).

Karen & Rose - thanks for sharing your finds with us!

Note: the wines in the picture are the results of a three-for-$20 game, not part of the Vintages Value List.

Just a little sip

WinetopFor those of you who thought you saw something but can't find it now, don't worry. We haven't been hacked. But you might as well pour yourself a nice glass of wine and relax, because you'll have to wait until next week to find out what we're up to.
