The 2006 edition of Cheap Eats Toronto has hit the presses and will be lining book shelves around the city some time next week.... The book, also available online, will cost you just under 12 loonies before tax... or approx 2.5 breakfasts. If you're too cheap for even that, check out the Eat & Drink section or search "Cheap Eats" on blogTO.

Check out http://www.cheapeatstoronto.com for more information-- and make sure to get your copy when it's in stores next week! You won't regret it. So wander on over to your local bookstore and make them sell you one of each. Now. Stop reading and go. Now. :)

Hey, did you know we have a CheapEats Toronto Flickr group?

I'm loving the photos people are submitting to the flickr group. You can actually see what you are in for when trying a new dish, or a new restaurant.  And some are just stunning photos, like Tanja's to the right.

Some people want to talk about food and restaurants, some people want to shoot them. (I mean the food and restaurants, not the talkers.  Though I'm sure some of my friends have wanted to shoot me when I get onto one of my many food rants.  And then there's Anthony Bourdain's comment on bloggers shooting their food... but I digress)

I hope you'll drop by and check out some of the wonderful photos people are taking, and consider joining yourself.  We'd love to see what you are eating too.

Note:  by submitting photos to the CheapEats Toronto Flickr group gives us permission to use the photos here and on CheapEatsToronto.com.  But if your photos are used, you will get a byline, as Tanja did in the Mars Diner shot above.
