National Fluffernutter Day

Today I was introduced to the Fluffernutter though @roboppy tweet via Wendy:

IT'S NATIONAL FLUFFERNUTTER DAY! WHERE IS MAH FLUFFERNUTTER?! (and everyone in Canada goes...WTF?!)

I must admit, I did say What The Fluff?  (sorry I couldn’t resist)  Like the Snickerdoodle, I’ve heard of the Fluffernutter but never really connected it with something real until today… National Fluffernutter Day.

For those of you who, like me, had no clue what this is a Fluffernutter is a sandwich made on white bread from peanut butter and Marshmallow Fluff.  Yes, that white gooey marshmallow in a jar.

There is a webpage, a Wikipedia entry and last year Massachusetts state legislature even debated whether it would be the official state sandwich.

I have yet to try one, but today seems as good a day as any.
