Karen came out of the womb and landed in her Baba's kitchen. Smelling, tasting and touching food was a staple of her childhood. Ten years in the service industry, working in establishments at all levels of swank gave her an appreciation for the sublime culinary experience and intimate knowledge of culinary disasters. All of these experiences resulted ina gastronome with a refined palate for most cuisines, cheese and wine. She is currently employed in the wine industry and is looking forward to working toward her Cheese Appreciation Certificate this year.

Comfort Food: Slow-cooked fatty beef (eg. short ribs) and mashed taters.
She's Snobby About: Cheese on my burger - won't settle for anything processed and the cheddar must be well-aged.
